Valerie J. Jurik is an educator, author, and national speaker on Aging in Place. As a former CEO and certified Aging in Place specialist (CAPS) she has 25+ years of diversified experience in the senior industries.
Valerie is a highly sought-after national speaker on “The Aging of America” and “Aging (thriving) in Place for all Generations.” She has presented at various national conferences including the International Builders Show 2017, 2018, and 2020. The focus of her life changing offering is on home design and product placement. Valerie is a true Visionary with a “servants’ heart,” and has always been driven to find solutions to problems that affect people’s quality of life. She is passionate about educating others and has developed curriculum that is delivered in person and on-line for various educational institutions in Alabama, Florida and North Carolina.
Valerie is a musician at heart taking after her grandmother Emily who was a Vaudeville piano player. She loves the piano, guitar, and all percussion instruments. She was once an ensemble percussionist in NYC. On her days off you can find her writing music, playing with her 13-year-old dog Sadie, or spending time in the mountains or at the beach with her partner.
